On Saturday night, Colchester Arts Centre hosts the Mayor’s Marvellous Masquerade Ball, presented by Colchester Pride. This vibrant celebration marks the end of a year of fundraising for the Mayor’s charities, promising an eclectic mix of entertainment including drag artists, dancers, poets and live music from JamJar. Guests are encouraged to dress for the occasion – a mask is essential.
Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are £15.
Also, on Saturday night, the third edition of House Get Together will be held at Roots & Grooves Café. A strong line-up of local DJs – GBJ, I S#it Glitter, Rich Law, Dave S, Ian Lavenham and Peter “Pistol” Johnston – will take over the decks, delivering deep and soulful house in this great venue.

From Tuesday through to Saturday, Headgate Theatre presents Camelot, a vibrant new musical reimagining of the Arthurian legend. Platform Musicals brings King Arthur, Queen Guinevere and Sir Lancelot to life. This stage production blends myth, drama, music and powerful emotion to great effect, offering a fresh perspective on this timeless tale of love, betrayal and honour.
Starts at 7.45pm. Tickets are £20.
Impious Spirit Productions presents Tales of Time at Coda on Wednesday. The UK symphonic metal quintet are out on their first UK tour. Known for their theatrical sound and epic arrangements, the band will be supported by Draugrheim, ChemiQueen and Sinners In The City.
Doors open at 6.30pm. Tickets are £8 in advance or £10 on the door.
On Friday at Three Wise Monkeys, there’s Enjoy The Silence UK, a Depeche Mode tribute band who will relive the iconic hits from their legendary 80s and 90s era. The band promises a dynamic experience for fans of Basildon’s synth-pop pioneers.
