Three Wise Monkeys to celebrate Independent Venue Week

Three Wise Monkeys Colchester proudly takes the spotlight as it once again participates in Independent Venue Week.

From 29th January to 4th February 2024, Independent Venue Week is the UK’s annual seven-day celebration of independent music and arts venues, highlighting the passionate individuals who own, run, and contribute to these small and independent venues. 

Three Wise Monkeys will host various events showcasing Colchester’s vibrant music scene and further afield. 

Kicking off the week on January 29th and 30th, the Battle of the Bands will provide a stage for up-and-coming artists. TWM Live spearheads this event, with PET NEEDS on the panel, during Independent Venue Week 2024, recognising a decline in opportunities for young bands. 

Throughout the rest of the week, a line-up of local and touring bands will take the stage, including Rad Pitt, The Wicked Ravens, Ecto Peach, Pure Trash, Chappaqua Wrestling, and many more.

AJ Jones, Events Manager at Three Wise Monkeys, said: “Independent Venue Week is something we look forward to every year as we get to showcase what local venues have to offer and offer a platform for some amazing acts.

Over the course of the week, we have got some incredible acts taking the stage, from new bands showcasing their talent in a Battle of the Bands to established and well-known acts; we have got music for everyone!”
