Canines Ride the Train Lines (Doggy Steam Day)

April 06, 2025

Choo Choo Let the Dogs Out?

The Canines Ride The Train Lines event returns for 2025. We love seeing your four legged friends riding on our trains, which is why we are dedicating a whole day to appreciate our Canine companions! Bring your dog and come for unlimited rides on one of our steam trains.

There will be a small selection of trade stalls selling accessories and delicious treats for your dog. Come and meet the greyhounds from Clark’s Farm Greyhound Rescue Centre and also come and see how the Guide Dogs Trust train their puppies. For the humans, Platform 2 Cafe (run by Stour Valley Catering) will be open selling hot and cold food and drinks and our very own miniature pub, The Viaduct, will be open selling a range of beer, cider, wine and soft drinks and our friends from Molly Moos Ice Cream will also be in attendance.

Don’t forget our train themed playground for the kids!

Don’t forget to take photos of your dog on your visit and tag us in your social media posts.

Dogs are admitted FREE and will also receive a complimentary treat bag on arrival.

If you love dogs, whether you have one or not, this is the event to attend! Please note that although water bowls with be situated around site, you may want to bring your own provisions.

Please ensure you bring bags for any dog waste which can be disposed of in any bin around the site. Due to the nature of the site, dogs must be kept on leads at all times and we politely request that vicious dogs do not attend for safety reasons.
