Colchester Art Society is pleased to present the Plein Air Exhibition, a curated showcase of works created in response to Colchester and its surrounding areas. Featuring paintings, drawings and works in other media, the exhibition explores place through direct observation, light and atmosphere.

From expansive rural views to quieter urban moments, the exhibition brings together a range of perspectives rooted in lived experience and the practice of working outdoors.

Organised by myself and proudly sponsored by Colchester Art Society, this exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to engage with contemporary plein air practice and the diverse ways artists respond to their environment.
