Get creative this Christmas with a festive fused glass workshop at Colchester Castle on Saturday 28 November 2026, with sessions available from 10.30am to 12.30pm or 2pm to 4pm.

Join Sarah from Greenacres Glass for a beginner-friendly workshop where you’ll create three fused glass Christmas trees. Whether you’re completely new to glass art or looking to try something different, Sarah will guide you through every step of the process, with all materials provided. Suitable for ages 10+ when accompanied by a parent or guardian attending the event.

You’ll make three trees: two hanging baubles and one tealight decoration, creating handmade pieces to brighten your home during the festive season. Once completed, your creations will be professionally fired in a glass kiln and ready for collection within two weeks.

Your ticket includes guidance from Sarah, all materials, drinks, cake and nibbles, as well as admission to Colchester Castle. Take the opportunity to explore the Castle and its museum collections before or after your workshop and enjoy a day out in one of Colchester’s most historic settings.
