9.29°C The acts performing on the Castle Stage at Colchester Free Festival have been announced, following the Main Stage line-up confirmed last week.
Backing onto Colchester Castle in Castle Park, the Castle Stage will feature:

The festival takes place in Castle Park between 11am and 7pm on Saturday, 18th September 2010.
Colchester! Free Festival forms the finale of Colchester! – a week-long grassroots celebration of music, art and culture running from Monday 13th to Saturday 18th September across venues throughout the town.
The Castle Stage offers an alternative to the Main Stage line-up, which includes New Town Kings, Angry Vs The Bear, Cav OK, Housework, Vellocetta, The Kuru Smile, Top Deck All Stars, Manic Minor and The Kipling Conspiracy, with DJ support from GrownSoul, DJ Gilly and Jeff Scott.
There is still an opportunity for acts who didn’t make the Main or Castle Stage line-up to get involved. Two ‘Busk Stops’ will be placed in the park, allowing around 20 additional performers to take part, alongside gig opportunities throughout Festival Week and the after-parties on the 18th.
Festival organiser Ben Howard of Keep Colchester Cool said:
“It’s been a really tough decision, but we’ve chosen a line-up that reflects some of Colchester’s musical successes over the past year. We want as many acts as possible to be involved and still have the Busk Stop, Eclectic Garden Party and Music Workshop line-ups to announce.”
