Lightbulb Festival of the arts 2013 brings together a number of local groups and individuals to deliver quality culture right on your doorstep for free. Part of its mission is to help turn Colchester into a thriving cultural capital, where events and festivals such as these become commonplace and members of the public have the chance to get involved too. There are events ranging from poetry to film, contemporary music to karaoke taking place from 11-14th July.
