Colchester’s first ever local music awards takes place at The Twist takes place on Thursday 18th October.

The awards are being organised by the weekly Leftfield Retro Show on Radio Wivenhoe. The idea by DJ Philippe Edmund is to launch this first event through his radio show to acknowledge and award the growing arts and music scene in Colchester and its surrounding area. If the first one proves to be a success, and the people want and enjoy it, then next year hopefully it can be developed into the Colne Radio FM annual awards.

The event will be used itself to raise funds for the Colchester SOS & Community Bus.
