23.38°C Christmas comes early to Colchester as Craig Charles brings his Christmas Funk & Soul Extravaganza to Charter Hall, courtesy of Peter Dutch and the Colchester Anti Loo Roll Brigade.
On Thursday 21st December, there’s a great lineup that also marks Jimmy Kingston’s 50th birthday bash. The night features Craig Charles, who is celebrated for his roles in Red Dwarf, Robot Wars, and Coronation Street and is renowned for his BBC 6 Music Funk and Soul Show. With two decades of broadcasting under his belt, Charles is not just an entertainer but a true tastemaker and promoter of new music.
Adding to the mix, the dynamic duo of Dutchie and Jimmy Kingston will go back-to-back after Craig Charles. Additional DJ sets by Choc n Gilly and Ben Howard will keep the dancefloor going from 8pm.
Charter Hall will undergo a transformation with extra lights, lasers, and a powerful sound system brought in by Intersonic Productions.
What makes this event even more special is that all profits from the night will go towards supporting the local Colchester community, offering assistance where it is needed the most, thanks to the work of the Colchester Anti Loo Roll Brigade.
