Romantic novels are enjoying a resurgence currently, so we are delighted to have an evening with two Essex based authors Julie Haworth & Eva Verde which will be hosted by Lauren North. Julie won the Katie Fforde Debut Romantic Novel of the Year 2023 award for Always By Your Side. Her new novel tells the story of Tori who has been dumped by her long term boyfriend while on the trip of a lifetime. Forced to go home to mother, she finds solace working behind the counter in The Cosy Cat Cafe, first with a sense of community and then a new blossoming romance with a hunky fireman. Eva Verde’s new novel, In Bloom, is the story of three generations of women searching for freedom from guilt and regret. Delph lost her partner at a young age and is very protective of her only daughter Roche. When Roche leaves home to live with her eccentric, difficult nan, the whole of Delph’s life and relationships are called in to question. It has been called “a beautiful tale of resilience”.
The doors will open at 6.45pm for a 7pm start. After the talk and Q & A there will a chance to get signed copies of the authors new books.
