We are thrilled to have Colchester author Laura Purcell at the store to talk about her sparkling YA debut Moonstone. She will be interviewed by fantasy author JJA Harwood, so thanks to her for agreeing to do that. Most of you will be familiar with Laura’s exquisitely written Gothic mysteries set within a beautifully realised historical setting. Moonstone has a Regency feel to it but with full blown supernatural and dark fairytale elements. Camille is banished to the woods to live with her strict godmother and her strange daughter Lucy. As the pair become intensely close, strange things begin to happen that hint at the otherworldly. Moonstone has been described as a haunting, gothic romance with real bite and it should appeal to fans of Romantasy and crossover fantasy fiction by the likes of Sarah J Maas.
