Colchester Fringe – Standing On A Nail: A Queer Horror Story
Standing On A Nail: A Queer Horror Story is a tense and thrilling drama that follows five gay men in 1985 trapped inside a bar with a horrific creature. They don’t know what it is or wants. All they know is that it will get out. As the night goes on, the men find themselves haunted by forces inside and out that threaten to tear them apart.
Standing On A Nail responds to the lack of queer representation in the horror genre, particularly in theatre. The play, a call for queer empathy, has left audiences not only on the edge of their seat, but has stirred laughter and tears.
