Following the death of Dolly Parton, The Dolly Show offers Colchester audiences a chance to come together at The Mercury Theatre and celebrate the songs of one of country music’s most loved and influential artists.

Kelly O’Brien has performed as Dolly for more than three decades and is endorsed by the Parton family. She has worked as Dolly’s body double and was the only UK finalist in the official global casting search for the new Dolly Parton Broadway musical.

Touring internationally with a live band, The Dolly Show spans Dolly’s career from the 1960s onwards, with songs including Jolene, 9 to 5, Islands in the Stream, Coat of Many Colours, Here You Come Again and I Will Always Love You.

For fans, the show will inevitably carry a little more weight now. But Dolly’s music was made to be played, sung and enjoyed, and this feels like a fitting opportunity to do exactly that.
