TWM Live formally welcomes back artists who made it through the heats of our first Battle of the Bands.

I’m thrilled to announce the bands that have made it to the final in noe particular order.The Strays, Planet 9, Shift 70, Broken Promises, Just 4.

Each one of these bands demonstrated great skill and performance and are now in the chance to win prizes on the night.

We are offering a one-day recorded, edited, mixed, and mastered track at Black Cactus Studios. This is worth over £400.

All the money raised from the heats and final will be put into a prize pot. This is already tipping over £300.

The bands must perform one original song at least out of the set of three tracks to a time limit of 15 minutes per band. This or one of the original tracks will be the recorded single as a prize. Each band will perform three tracks in the final, with at least one being an original composition. There will be a prize pot for two awards: one for the best composition and one for the overall winner of the Battle of the Bands. You have the chance to win both prizes!

Regarding tickets for the next show, we’ll be selling pre-sales, and non-student attendees (apart from performers) will not be allowed free entry. All entry will be ticketed at £3.

This is to ensure everyone with a ticket can attend the show and we can monitor numbers. Remember all this money goes into the prize pot, the venue does not take a cut. If you think or know anyone who might struggle with the fee, please let us know, and I can help with the guest list.

The running order for each night will be randomly drawn, so we kindly request that all bands arrive at 5 pm before the doors open to the public at 5 pm.

There will be a full backline available for use, and we ask that you only bring your guitars to the show.

The backline includes:

– Guitar amps
– Bass amps
– Keyboard
– Vocal microphones

Please note that all attendees under 18 years old must leave the venue by 9 pm. We will enforce this rule by providing color-coded wristbands.

If you require an over 18s wristband, we will be checking IDs at the door.

All under 18s to be with an adult.

We wanted to inform you of our refund policy regarding event tickets. Please note that we will be unable to process any ticket refunds within 7 days of the event.

We understand that circumstances may arise that prevent you from attending the event, but unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate refund requests within this timeframe.
