Freekie Fest 2011

Freekie Fest returns on Saturday 23rd  July in a location on the Essex, Suffolk border and not too far from Colchester.

The  Tech Arena is back this year but there’s an addition of a new tent that will not only host some of the finest local Reggae, Breaks & Drum n Bass  DJ’s, but there’ s a very special guest in the shape of Drum and Bass Godfather, DJ Ray Keith.

Ray Keith  will be appearing with his new band in the afternoon performing classic tracks such as ‘Chopper’ and ‘Renegade Terrorist’ and will be ending the night with a 3 hour  DJ set.

The ever popular  Stumble INN is back   and will feature more local talent playing classic funk, jazz and hip hop from the start to the very end!

Here’s the Freekie Fest 2011 line-up

Freekie Fest aims to create the best intimate underground music event in  the area, and prides itself on the most amazing countryside location with the best audio & visual equipment, along with some seriously funky decor and of course a fantastic, friendly crowd of music and party lovers.

Food this will be served once again by the local  kings of curry Chickpea Co along side the Homemade Barbi. Breakfast will be available in the morning.

Safe camping is available  on site, and the organisers ask  festival goers to  make the effort to camp where possible as it keeps the local traffic down during unsociablehours and also makes the whole event a far better experience.

We look forward to seeing you on the GrassFloor!
