After the success of their Summer Beach Party, Mind-Funk returns to the Judge and Jury on Saturday 13th October with one of their favourite DJs and producers, Vandal.

Vandal is the alter ego of Sam Evans who has spent the last 11 years producing global underground anthems and creating an electronic act that effortlessly fuses together various genres whilst still retaining his unique sound. The praise & support for Vandal’s music has come from some of the most important DJs in dance music and the electronic loving public, resulting in selling tens of thousands of vinyl, cd and download releases as well as being invited to play some of the most respected venue in clubland.

In the early noughties Vandal released a number of high profile tracks on Welsh label Plastic Raygun, garnering support from luminaries such as Andrew Weatherall, James Zabiela, Rennie Pilgrem, Adam Freeland & even Paul Van Dyk!

Leaving Plastic Raygun in late 2004 Sam sent a demo to Meat Katie who had recently set up his new Lot 49 record label. Knowing they were onto a winner Lot 49 immediately signed the track ‘Mad As Hell’ a move which was to prove very successful. During 2005 you couldn’t avoid hearing the track which Zane Lowe branded the Hottest Record In The World and made single of the week on his radio 1 show. Further releases ‘Obey’, ‘Idiots & ‘Healthy Boy’ all built on the Vandal reputation. Guest mixes for Annie Nightingale, support from Pete Tong and numerous remixes under his belt Vandal had well and truly made it. 2010 proved to be his busiest year yet as he released his debut long player ‘Tonight We Riot’ on Lot 49 an epic clash of breakbeat, techno & electro.

Sam launched his own label Benefit Records in late 2009 with the fierce Big Dog EP, a label which to this day continues to grow and release a wide variety of tracks with one thing in common : quality.

Support on the night comes from :

A:B:S (Dead Famous Records, Rough Tempo Radio), Graham Good (Polytechnic Recordings, Space Ibiza), Hot Knives and Jenksi
