Following sold-out performances in London, Rocket Fan will be at Coda as part of the Colchester Fringe Summer Weekender before heading to the Edinburgh Fringe.

Part romantic comedy, part piano show and part singalong, the show follows Alice Keys through the highs and lows of falling in and out of love, with the songs of Elton John providing the soundtrack. Expect laughs, glittering glasses, optional singalongs and a few surprises along the way.

“The show is primarily a comedy,” Alice said. “It’s 60 minutes of light-hearted feel-good comedy. Liking Elton John or enjoying a hearty singalong is a bonus, but neither is needed to have a good time.”

Alice is a London-based cabaret performer and piano-bar musician who enjoys creating performances that are slightly different every night.

“I love gently interactive performances where we all shape the show together and make it a one-off that only we will remember,” she said. “Rocket Fan has a couple of moments of audience interaction, but they make the show different every night, so it’s always a fun surprise for me.”

Whether you’re an Elton John fan or not, Rocket Fan is an hour of comedy, music and storytelling that puts the laughs first, with a few familiar songs along the way.

Rocket Fan will be performed at Coda, 63 High Street, on Saturday 25th July at 4.30pm and Sunday 26th July at 3pm as part of the Colchester Fringe Summer Weekender.
