Known for her vibrant contemporary jazz, weaving together elements of poetry and storytelling, Ambuehl’s latest album Thrive (2025) won “Jazz Recording of The Year” at the 2025 Presto Music Awards.
With fluid, expressive piano playing and emotive vocals, her sound is lyrical and rich in detail, drawing inspiration from poetry, urban life and the natural world.
The debut album Glitterwoods (Traumton, Berlin), was named ‘Album of the Year’ by UK Vibe and she has since performed with different artists internationally, including a musical residency in Senegal funded by Arts Council England and appearing as the improvising soloist with Jazzchor Freiburg at the Eurovision Choir contest in Riga, Latvia.

Fabienne Ambuehl leads a quartet featuring some of the UK’s most in-demand jazz musicians. The quartet’s performances are engaging and energetic. The band will present the music from Thrive as well as some brand-new material from their upcoming album to be released later in the year.
Together with her virtuoso quartet, she creates a concert experience that is as sensitive as it is powerful. With compelling rhythms and influences ranging from blues and Brahms to The Beatles, the band creates a sound that is daring yet intimate, and truly its own.
